What We Believe
The foundational truths that guide our faith, our preaching, and our daily walk with the Lord.
“Stand fast in the faith” (1 Corinthians 16:13)
We believe the Bible is the verbally and plenarily inspired Word of God. The sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments are without error in the original manuscripts, given by divine inspiration, and are the sole and final authority for all matters of faith and practice. We believe God has preserved His Word for the English-speaking people in the King James Version of the Bible.
2 Timothy 3:16-17
2 Peter 1:20-21
Psalm 12:6-7
Psalm 119:89
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three co-equal Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, each possessing the same nature, attributes, and perfections. These three are one God, the same in substance, equal in power and glory.
Deuteronomy 6:4
Matthew 28:19
2 Corinthians 13:14
John 1:1-3
The Person and Work of Jesus Christ
We believe in the absolute deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. He is fully God and fully man. We believe in His virgin birth, His sinless life, His substitutionary and atoning death on the cross, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal, visible return in power and glory.
John 1:1, 14
Isaiah 7:14
Hebrews 4:15
1 Corinthians 15:3-4
Acts 1:9-11
We believe the Holy Spirit is a divine Person, equal with the Father and the Son. He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He indwells every believer at the moment of salvation, seals them unto the day of redemption, and empowers them for godly living and Christian service. We believe that the sign gifts of the Holy Spirit, such as speaking in tongues and the gift of healing, were temporary and have ceased with the completion of Scripture.
John 16:8-11
Ephesians 1:13-14
1 Corinthians 13:8-10
Romans 8:9
We believe that man was created in the image of God but fell into sin through the disobedience of Adam. As a result, all people have inherited a sin nature, are totally depraved, and are in need of the saving grace of God. Man is completely unable to save himself and is without excuse before God.
Genesis 1:26-27
Romans 3:10-23
Romans 5:12
Ephesians 2:1-3
We believe that salvation is the gift of God, offered by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ alone. Salvation is not the result of human effort, good works, or religious ceremony. It is obtained solely through repentance toward God and faith in the finished work of Christ, His death, burial, and resurrection. The shed blood of Jesus Christ provides the only basis for the forgiveness of sins.

John 3:16
Acts 16:31
Romans 6:23
Titus 3:5
Eternal Security of the Believer
We believe that all who are genuinely born again are kept by God the Father for Jesus Christ and can never lose their salvation. We believe that God grants eternal life to the believer, and this gift is irrevocable. While a believer may stumble in their walk, their relationship with God as His child is sealed and secure forever.
John 10:28-29
Romans 8:35-39
1 Peter 1:3-5
Philippians 1:6
We believe that a New Testament church is a local, visible assembly of born-again, baptized believers who are joined together to carry out the Great Commission. Each local church is self-governing and independent, with Jesus Christ as its head. The two offices of the church are pastor and deacon, and the two ordinances are believer’s baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
Matthew 28:19-20
Acts 2:41-47
Ephesians 1:22-23
1 Timothy 3:1-13
Baptism and the Lord’s Supper
We believe that scriptural baptism is the immersion of a believer in water, administered by the authority of the local church, as a public testimony of their faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Baptism is not a requirement for salvation but is an act of obedience. We believe the Lord’s Supper is a memorial observance in which believers partake of the bread and the cup as a remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice until He comes again.
Matthew 28:19
Acts 8:36-39
Romans 6:3-5
1 Corinthians 11:23-26
We believe that all believers are called to live a life of separation from worldly and sinful practices. The Christian is to walk worthy of his calling, abstaining from activities and associations that would bring dishonor to the name of Christ, hinder one’s testimony, or compromise biblical convictions. We believe in ecclesiastical separation from religious organizations and movements that deny the fundamentals of the faith.

Romans 12:1-2
1 John 2:15-17
2 Thessalonians 3:6
The Second Coming of Christ
We believe in the personal, pre-tribulational, premillennial return of the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that He will first come in the air to rapture His church, both the living and the dead in Christ, before the seven-year Tribulation period. Following the Tribulation, Christ will return to earth to establish His literal thousand-year millennial kingdom. This blessed hope has a vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
Revelation 19:11-16
Revelation 20:1-6
Titus 2:13
We believe in the literal, six-day account of creation as recorded in the book of Genesis. God created the heavens and the earth, and all living things, by His spoken word. We reject the theory of evolution in all its forms and believe that man was a special and direct creation of God, made in His own image.
